Description
The Nerve Repair Pen contains ARA-290 (Cibinetide), a synthetic 11-amino-acid peptide derived from erythropoietin (EPO). Unlike EPO, ARA-290 selectively activates the body's Innate Repair Receptor (IRR) without stimulating red blood cell production.
Its amino acid sequence consists of Pyr-Glu-Gln-Leu-Glu-Arg-Ala-Leu-Asn-Ser-Ser, featuring a pyroglutamate residue at the N-terminus that contributes to its stability and biological activity.
ARA-290 has been extensively investigated for its tissue-protective, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties, particularly in supporting nerve health, reducing neuroinflammation, and promoting functional recovery.
Mechanism of Action
ARA-290 selectively binds to the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR), a receptor complex composed of the erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) and the β-common receptor (βcR). Activation of this receptor initiates protective cellular signaling while avoiding the hematopoietic effects associated with erythropoietin.
Its primary actions include:
- Promoting axonal regeneration and remyelination
- Supporting repair of damaged peripheral nerves
- Reducing neuroinflammation and neuropathic pain
- Improving microvascular circulation and tissue oxygen delivery
- Activating protective intracellular pathways, including JAK2/STAT3 and PI3K/Akt
- Limiting apoptosis and supporting healthy tissue regeneration
Together, these mechanisms help create an environment conducive to nerve healing, improved neurological function, and enhanced tissue recovery.
Indications & Usage
The Nerve Repair Pen is formulated to support nerve regeneration and neurological recovery. It may be used to assist with:
- Supporting peripheral nerve repair and regeneration
- Reducing neuropathic discomfort and neuroinflammation
- Recovery following nerve compression, injury, or surgery
- Supporting nerve health in diabetic neuropathy and similar conditions
- Promoting tissue protection and improved neurological function
Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use if you have:
- Known hypersensitivity to ARA-290 or any formulation ingredient
- Active malignancy or a history of cancer
- Severe uncontrolled cardiovascular disease
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Are under 18 years of age
Warnings
- Use only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
- This product should not replace conventional medical or surgical treatment for neuropathy or nerve injury.
- Ongoing monitoring of neurological symptoms and pain levels is recommended during treatment.
- Discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention if worsening neurological symptoms, severe allergic reactions, or other unexpected adverse events occur.
Dosage & Administration
For subcutaneous injection only.
Standard Dose
- 2-4 mg per injection
- Approximately 10-19 clicks, depending on the desired dose
Frequency
- Once daily or every second day
Recommended Timing
- Evening administration is generally preferred to support overnight tissue repair and nerve recovery.
Suggested Cycle
- 4-8 weeks of continuous use, followed by a 2-4 week break before beginning another cycle.
Administration Instructions
- Wash your hands thoroughly and prepare a clean working area.
- Attach a new sterile needle.
- Dial the prescribed number of clicks (for example, 12 clicks ≈ 2.5 mg).
- Clean the injection site (abdomen or thigh) using an alcohol swab.
- Insert the needle at a 45-90° angle and inject slowly.
- Remove the needle and dispose of it safely.
- Replace the pen cap after each use.
- Rotate injection sites regularly to minimize irritation.
- Always inspect the solution before use. Do not inject if the solution appears cloudy, discoloured, or contains visible particles.
Possible Side Effects
ARA-290 has generally demonstrated a favourable safety profile, with reported adverse effects typically being mild and temporary.
Possible side effects include:
- Mild redness, itching, or irritation at the injection site
- Temporary headache or light-headedness
- Mild fatigue or temporary fluctuations in energy levels
- Occasional gastrointestinal discomfort
Discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider if severe or persistent symptoms develop, including worsening neurological symptoms, significant pain, or signs of an allergic reaction.
Storage & Handling
- Store refrigerated or in a cool, dry place (maximum 25-30°C).
- Do not freeze.
- Keep the pen capped and protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
- Continue storing under the same conditions after first use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date or if the solution appears cloudy, discoloured, or otherwise abnormal.
Powered by Precision MSSPT
Every Peptide Pen is manufactured using Precision MSSPT (Multi-Stage Stabilization and Preservation Technology), an advanced stabilization system developed to maintain peptide integrity in demanding environments.
Using proprietary buffering systems, antioxidants, and specialized stabilizing agents, MSSPT helps protect formulations from heat, light, oxygen, moisture, pH fluctuations, and oxidative degradation. This technology helps maintain molecular stability and dosing consistency, even in the challenging climates of South Africa and the UAE.
With no reconstitution required, every Peptide Pen provides convenient, ready-to-use administration while delivering reliable performance and precision from the first dose to the last.
