Total Peptide Content: 100 mg GHK-Cu

Supplied with: 6 sterile needles (additional needles available separately)

Description

Skin Glow Pen contains GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper), a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. GHK-Cu has been extensively studied for its role in tissue repair, collagen production, wound healing, and skin regeneration.

The peptide consists of glycine, histidine, and lysine bound to a biologically active copper (Cu²⁺) ion. This copper complex is essential for activating numerous enzymes involved in cellular repair, antioxidant defence, and extracellular matrix renewal.

Mechanism of Action

GHK-Cu supports skin regeneration through several complementary biological pathways, including:

  • Delivering bioavailable copper to key enzymes involved in collagen formation and antioxidant protection, including lysyl oxidase and superoxide dismutase.
  • Regulating the expression of thousands of genes associated with tissue repair while suppressing genes involved in inflammation and tissue breakdown.
  • Stimulating fibroblast activity, collagen production, elastin formation, glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and angiogenesis through VEGF and FGF signalling pathways.
  • Reducing inflammatory mediators such as NF-κB, TNF-α, and IL-6.
  • Inhibiting matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) while enhancing tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs), helping preserve the skin's structural integrity.
  • Supporting keratinocyte migration, wound closure, extracellular matrix remodelling, and overall skin regeneration.

Together, these actions promote healthier, firmer skin while improving elasticity, hydration, barrier function, and recovery from environmental damage and visible ageing.

Indications & Usage

Skin Glow Pen is formulated to support skin health, repair, and rejuvenation. It may assist with:

  • Supporting collagen and elastin production for firmer, more resilient skin
  • Promoting tissue repair and wound healing
  • Helping reduce inflammation and oxidative stress within the skin
  • Improving hydration, elasticity, and overall skin appearance
  • Supporting recovery following environmental exposure, photoageing, or minor skin injury

Contraindications & Warnings

Do not use if you have:

  • Known hypersensitivity to GHK-Cu, copper, or any formulation ingredient
  • Active malignancy or a history of copper metabolism disorders (such as Wilson's disease)
  • Severe uncontrolled inflammatory skin disorders or active infection at the injection site
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Age under 18 years

Warnings

  • Use only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
  • This product is not intended to replace conventional dermatological treatments, sunscreen, or other medically approved skin therapies.
  • Do not inject into inflamed, infected, or damaged skin.
  • Stop use immediately and seek medical attention if you experience severe allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, widespread rash, swelling, or symptoms suggestive of copper toxicity.

Dosage & Administration

Route: Subcutaneous injection only

Standard Dose:

  • 5 mg (12 clicks) once daily
  • Each click delivers approximately 0.417 mg (417 mcg) of GHK-Cu.

Optional Higher Dose (if well tolerated):

  • Up to 10 mg (24 clicks) once daily

Frequency:

  • Once daily

Recommended Timing:

  • Morning, preferably on an empty stomach.
  • Wait approximately 30-60 minutes before eating after administration.

Suggested Cycle:

  • 20 consecutive days of use followed by a 2-week break before repeating if appropriate.

Administration Instructions

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly and prepare a clean working area.
  2. Attach a new sterile needle.
  3. Dial the prescribed number of clicks.
  4. Clean the injection site (abdomen or thigh) using an alcohol swab.
  5. Insert the needle at a 45-90° angle and inject slowly.
  6. Remove the needle and dispose of it safely.
  7. Replace the pen cap after each use.
  8. Rotate injection sites to minimise irritation.
  9. Before every injection, inspect the solution carefully. Do not use if it appears cloudy, discoloured, or contains visible particles.

Side Effects

GHK-Cu is generally well tolerated, with most reported side effects being mild and temporary. These may include:

  • Mild redness, itching, or irritation at the injection site
  • Temporary headache or light-headedness
  • Mild nausea or a temporary metallic taste
  • Occasional flushing or short-term changes in energy levels

If severe or persistent reactions develop, including widespread rash, swelling, breathing difficulty, or signs of copper overload, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider immediately.

Storage & Handling

  • Store refrigerated or in a cool, dry location (≤25-30°C / 77-86°F).
  • Never freeze.
  • Keep the pen tightly capped and protected from direct light and excessive heat.
  • After first use, continue storing under the same recommended conditions.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not use after the expiry date or if the solution becomes cloudy, discoloured, or contains visible particles.

Powered by Precision MSSPT

Every Peptide Pen is manufactured using Precision MSSPT (Multi-Stage Stabilisation & Preservation Technology), an advanced formulation platform designed to maximise peptide stability in demanding environments.

Through proprietary buffering systems, antioxidants, moisture protection, oxygen control, and light-resistant technology, MSSPT helps maintain molecular integrity and dosing consistency—even in challenging climates such as South Africa's subtropical conditions or the UAE's extreme desert heat.

The result is a convenient, ready-to-use peptide delivery system requiring no mixing or reconstitution while providing reliable stability, precision dosing, and consistent performance from the first injection to the last.
